Nice to have Risky.biz back for 2010, thanks

I noticed that towards the end of 2009 the podcast went form 56 to 128kbs.

Seeing as how the show is almost exclusively voice, 128 seems to be serious overkill; especially with Australia's metered internet plans.

Sure, most the people that listen to the show in AUS probably have more generous plans or download it from work, but 45MB for a show that isn't an hour long is still too much.

If you want high quality with a more reasonable size, maybe VBR?

Uhh I managed to send a PM and even got an email that I recieved it, but for the life of me can't find the link on the page to view it.

Something that would be really useful going back as I am sure most people like me listen to the podcast while out and about, would be show notes.
Just links that where discussed, people that where interviewed and their companies etc. Heck do what other shows do an just add a locked down wiki that select users can even update for you from their listening.

I would like to see an event calendar, especially with events around Australia and New Zealand.

I love the stripped back, clean and simple layout of the whole risky business site, however something I've noticed that's bugging me in its simplicity is this:

When I enter a forum / thread, there's no breadcrumb available to link me back to thread list / forum list.

So usually you'd have something like a heirachy of the forums and threads listed above the thread, in this example

One thing I just LOATHE is programs which think they know what you want to do better than you do, but don't. Which is why in a new installation of Word I always go through and switch off all the options that say anything about Smart or Automagic (and still sometimes have to export to OpenOffice to dodge all the magic).

I'm not sure what you hope from these forums but I suggest you allow the tag for signatures. Unless you want signatures to just be plain text.

You could start a IRC channel to get more informal and instant communication going. I'm not sure how popular it would be, everyone seems to just lurk in channels these days lol
